I agree. But are you sure that there must be THE before the word "sucker"? If I'm not mistaken, it must be either "He is A sucker"... Or simply "Sucker!!!"

FryDay I don't know. I've been mistakingly choosing between "a" and "the" articles all the time, until one man explained me that "a" means "any" while "the" means "this". Such way it looks really simple:

"a mouse" = "any mouse"
"the mouse" = "this particular mouse"

The man was Dutch, not Englishman. So, I am not 100% sure that is right. However, Dutch language should be much closer to English than any Slavic language.
