Regarding your quarrel, about my post:
Let me explain that I was absolutely correct, since my question was, what is he doing right now? If you take a good look at my dialog with EVS, you will see that he is telling me that taxi driver is his part time or second job, therefore in this case I would like to know what is his first job? Meaning his full time job.
By the way, I do not claim that my knowledge of English is perfect, but my degree oblige me to know a little bit of English since in University of Haifa, I finished department of English language and literature.

It's not a secret.
Long long time ago I was a teacher and interpreter.
I still work as interpreter (when I'm needed) and I also translate.
I would call myself a freelance translator. wink.gif
Don't mind giving private lessons, though the demand is rather poor these days.

Afraid I have already lost some of my skills. biggrin.gif

Right now I'm working as a taxi-driver. biggrin.gif

The only thing, in order to be fluent one has to practise regurarly.
Reading and listening to the radio helps a lot.
My favorite station is WNYC (New-York public radio), sometimes BBC.

Formal variants are practically similar.
