Right, having a business, especially successful business, in Russia fastens the process of immigration. L-1 Visa is made especially for businessmen who are planning to have their business in US. And after all I could have Green Card. And what is good, that my family is getting L-2 Visa automatically and then Green Card too.
I have marketing agency, that is specialized now only on photography and design of advertisement, but that's only because local companies don't know what is marketing and don't want to deal with anything they don't know. In US, the motherland of this beautiful phenomenon as Marketing, the situation is opposite. That's why I adore US - they love marketing as much as I do. )) If you are able to immigrate without spoiling the life of your wife, what would you do to get visa? |

I have only one opportunity. A friend of mine has a friend in the US, who plays in an orchestra. So, they can call me there as their program director or some kind of a PR manager. I think this would be the most perfect situation. But if I won't be able to go that way I think, I will start my business here and get the L-1 Visa as well as you. Although, I tried to start my own business but I failed this time I won't stop. I had roller-skates for hire. But the weather and the city annivesary made my tiny business absolutely unprofitable.
If everything goes well, I'll start another project in a month or so. I'm a bit more grammatically developed now I have some experience and know a bit more than I used to know before I started. Of course roller-business is not my dream at all, but I had to start from something cheap. So, if I won't be able to go to that orchestra-band I'll do my best to have a profitable business here and continue it in the US. As for the marketing system in the US - it awesome!!! I like the way they think. That's an experience I wanna get from them. What is your family-status? Are you married and will it take place in your decision to leave Russia? Or is your wife ok with that? |

So you are a specialist in PR? And you love marketing, wow. We were meant to meet here What kind of business you are going to open? Or you don't know yet? Well, actually you should know what you are going to start in a month.
My wife is my right hand. I really think that she is a half of me, because we have a lot in common and we do think about US the same. So she will only help me with this. I'm so happy, that I don't have to suffer and stand between her and my dream, deciding what is better to forget. |

I'm not a specialist. I'm not a PR manager either. But I do like marketing. I would like to learn more.
Well, speaking of my future business, it'll be selling spare parts for trucks and lorries. I won't be opening any shop. Perhaps, it will be an Internet-shop. The main advantage will be cheap price. Cheaper than they sell them here in Yaroslavl. Quality and comfort for customers. I know the prices of the same parts and I'm sure everything is going to go well this time and I'm getting my Business education. That gives me lots of new experiences. I have to do it well to pay all my debts. As for you family I so glad that you and your wife have the same opinion about leaving Russia. Wish my family had the same position. |

Yeah, if you are not going to open any shop, but the one in the Net, then prices will be much cheaper. I'm happy for you. It really feels that you know what you are doing and the aim of that action. That's the main part of the success.
How did you know about marketing the way it should be (full complex of functions like in all of the countries, except Russia)? Because as I see, marketing=advertising mostly everywhere in Yaroslavl...and the whole Russia too |

Well, as I said I travelled a lot. I read a lot of issues from the Net. Sometimes, I like advertiments, sort of "made in Russia". But mostly they are "stolen" from some other genius brains located far away from Russia. I can't stand watching TV advetisments. Thay make me sick There are some clever radio slogans from one of the citizens of Yaroslavl. They are fine. But again, they are far from something I would swallow. Frankly speaking, mostly every advertisment I hear or see in the mass-media make me feel the opposing way then they should Perhaps, I'm one of those who is already tempted with everything shown on TV or billboards. I too, sure that I will success someday. Hope you will manage to make more that you plan, too. What do you thing about advetisments in Russia? Do you think they work in minds of citizens or does it push away? What is the main problem with our advertizing? |

Well, I guess most of people won't swallow the ads and just after seeing it buy whatever they see. The main aim of Ads now is not to have the "Opposite effect" and give the information to ones, who is already interested, otherwise they don't pay attention. At the same time Ads should be the instrument of building the attitude towards the goods and company in general, so it should be unique and has the corporate style and image. In other words ordinary advertising is cheap but it is a waste of money, and sometimes it has even negative effect. The ones who want to succeed should do brand-building campaigns. In Yaroslavl and most of other small cities (Exception only for Moscow, St.Petersburg and N. Novgorod) there is no difference, so they choose what is cheaper, and if you are trying to tell that it wouldn't work - they say that they know everything by themselves, so they get the result that they want. That's it. Untill people in Russia will think that they know more than specialists in all spheres (that is just impossible) we will have what we have. In US everyone is doing what they are good at, what they have learnt. Here - accountant can be designer and no one will care. |
